i did this painting for a show.
believe it or not i was first inspired from a picture of a dead soldier my friend in the marines sent me. it was just his head [detached from his body] and he had this odd puddle of blood around him...it made fangs like an angler fish. i kept sketching it over and over, and found new meanings for what i wanted my painting to mean. this piece has alot of symbolism, which i wont let u know much of. basically its how alot of artists lose their way with drugs, kinda represented by them losing their hands and wanting them back. it was imspired from a former friend who forgot about me long ago. i dont like the colors much. i barely like this painting. i did it two days before the show and it got a little sloppy. ~alyssa |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
